Christ Junior College International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (CJC - IBDP) is authorized by the IB and offers a two-year full-time diploma programme for students aged between 16 and 19 years. The programme is internationally recognised and aligned with the IB philosophy of creating internationally minded students who are active, compassionate and life-long learners. We nurture a generation of learners who are global-minded thinkers and have an attitude of respect and acceptance of the versatility of human beings.
We offer students a conducive learning environment that facilitates interdisciplinary learning with real life connections. Our IB Diploma Programme immerses students in research, service, and metacognitive experiences. This multipronged approach to teaching-learning promotes an interface between language, skills, and knowledge. Our learners are thus equipped to face the dynamic global scenario and pursue a rewarding career across the world.

My first week at IB was extremely intimidating: between the online classes and the seemingly overwhelming number of tasks, I was sure the next two years would be spent only studying, but I was wrong. IB taught me how to find time for studies and other projects that I was interested in, and taught me skills that have been invaluable to me in college. The plethora of opportunities and the constant support from faculty and my classmates at CJCIBDP enabled me to step out of my comfort zone, allowing me to grow as a person and a professional. When I began IB, I would never have thought I would one day graduate with a perfect score of 45 points and a seat at the prestigious Kelley School of Business. I would not be who I am today without CJCIBDP and I will always treasure the two years I spent here.
Nikitha Donthi Student Undergraduate Programme Kelley School of Business Indiana UniversityThe IB Programme at CJC is steeped in critical thinking. Thanks to the IB Programme and months of critically analysing texts in English, doing the Extended Essay, Internal Assessments and TOK, we learnt to think deep, see the complete picture, form our views, question, conclude and come up with solutions. I find this especially beneficial now at the University level because the two exhaustive, grilling years in IB has made me incapable of reading anything without analysing it from different angles. It also enabled me to understand that different people perceive things differently and it taught me to be more accepting of others’ ideas as well.
Jacob Zachariah Alumnus Currently pursuing BSc. Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology, NetherlandsWhen I first heard about the international baccalaureate diploma programme, I was quite terrified— the assignments, CAS, TOK et cetera were mere words swimming around in my head daunting me. However, now that I’ve graduated from CJCIBDP, I can say with utmost conviction that my IB experience was the best I could’ve asked for. The focused attention and guidance from my teachers, an engaging peer group and the facilities that CJC provided us truly fostered our learning experience. CJCIBDP truly prepared me for my higher studies and I’ll always cherish the memories I made here.
